Second Installment… And Final Reveal Of My Secret..

Smiles… I promise to tell all on this one… :0)

Okay… I won’t make you wait too long now I truly pinky promise… hehehe..

Right, on with what I made for Rosie.. smiles.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

You should see the sparkle on this in real life… and the squeals that came from my daughter when she first saw this~!! Hehehe… It made the time and effort spent on it so worth while! :0)

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

The sentiments are again from Pink Petticoat – and the backing paper is from my Rachel A Miller Cd-Rom.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Rosie is a keen crafter and stamper like Mum – so she really loved this sentiment and all of the sparkle.  Smiles.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Here she is  trying it on…. :0)

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

And this is the matching card that I made for her…. “Queen For The Day..”   ~Smiles.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Again – the image is very aptly named – “Queen Bea For The Day”  (which is why I bought it.. smiles ) and another new one from Teddy Bo – I love these so very much!  Smiles.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

This sentiment is my own – done on my scrapbook software on my pc.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

And my secret?  Have you guessed yet?  :0)

I’m the newest DT member for Teddy Bo!!!! I know!! I am so over the moon I cannot even put into words how I feel..

I love bears so much (you should see my Tatty Teddy shelf at home.. lol.. those little miniature ornamental ones… I have loads.. smiles.)

And these Teddy Bo designs are just so amazingly wonderful aren’t they?

Well I hope you agree because you’re going to be seeing lots more of them on my blog from now on… Lol!! :0)

A Show Me With A Secret Too!!

Well maybe!! Hehehehehe…… Yup! I’ve been dying to tell you all and it’s been sooh hard keeping it all in…. lol… but I can finally tell you all… Phew!!

But first! I’m going to tell you about my busy few days – and the Jubilee Celebrations today… SMILES!! (I know, I’m a tease .. Ho hum!)

So… our visitor went home Wednesday as some of you will know from reading my earlier posts… and it was straight into preparing for the children’s Jubilee Celebrations at the school today…

This meant making Crowns for the Parade – Cards (as a surprise for my children.. smiles) and no less than 120 sandwiches!

So – first things first…. and most importantly… the crowns!!

First up – little Albie’s… (King for the day….hehehe..) And in keeping with the Jubilee colours that they’re all wearing today….

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

This is what I made for him.  Smiles…

The Union Jack Paper I have enlarged from a Pink Petticoat download – I enlarged and edited it in my Photoshop software.. Then I put it all back in my printer and printed the crown template over the top.  :0)

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

The crown I have done with my Gold Stickles Glitter Glue.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

The circle sentiment is a free Jubilee download from Pink Petticoat too – and it’s suits Albie perfectly… smiles.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

This is Alb’s trying it on for size…. ;0)

And this is the card that I made as a surprise for him…. I made this in keeping with his crown…. :0)

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

The image is quite aptly called King For The Day (yes this is why I chose it!)  Smiles… and is a brand new one from Teddy Bo.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

I was originally going to put him on backing paper but decided against this at the last minute (which is why I don’t ever stick anything down until I’m completely happy..lol.) He just looked a little lost and not quite so regal, you know?

Up there on this CAS style card – he looks like he could be King Of The World doesn’t he?  Smiles.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

To bring him to life I used my Copics and Glitter Copics too…. well his crown needed some sparkle didn’t it?? Hehehe..

Copics used were….

E44. 43. 41.   B000.  B29. 28. 24.  R59. 29. 27. 22.  YR23. lIPSTICK & GOLD Gliter Copics.

The pearls are from Joanna Sheen & my matt and layer card is Core-Dinations Nostalgia card stock.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

My sentiment is my own – done on my scrapbook software.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

The flags I made myself with cocktail sticks and a free PDF download I found simply  by googling “miniature union jack flags.”  :0)

And here he is about an hour ago (I’m just back home after the celebrations) after his party and doing his Crown Parade… bless him…. :0)

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Good job he has those glasses on – they stopped his crown slipping any lower with all that running about he was doing!  Hehehe. :)

Okay …. I’m going to be really cruel now…. because if you want to know my secret you’ll have to read my next post to find it out…. hehehehe..

See you there!

A Beary Cool Hidden Surprise…

And a bit of a tutorial too!!

Smiles…

I truly did have so much fun making this one… :0) Intrigued?  Then read on? No Peeking now… Lol..

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

To make this card  I used my brand new Meadow Cottage Bears set from Crafter’s Companion which can be found by clicking here.

I used the Dome Card set – the Hunky Dory Card Set & the Cd-Rom.

Other items used are:-

Ultimate Pro & Embossing Tool.

Boxer Board.

Collal All Purpose Glue.

Collal 3D Glue (for the decoupage)

Paper Trimmer.

Punch (Optional.)

Ribbon.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Just look at the dimension on these dome cards!  And that gold foiling!! They are so divine!! Smiles..

Okay – onto the how to!!

1- Fold the card bases (from the dome pack) back on themselves & glue together – so that the white “insides” are stuck together.

2 – Glue the dome card on to the plain part (instead of the picture part) of your card.

3 – Glue your decoupage in to place.

4 – Take an A4 sheet of card from the Hunky Dory set and trim lengthways to exactly 8 inches.

5 – With the long edge butted against the board  - score from one short edge to the other at the 6 inch line

6 – Fold and burnish the crease and re-open out your card.  Decorate your “easel” bottom as desired… See picture below..

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

7 – Add insert to the top if you wish.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

8 – Make hinges from Cream (or matching) card, by folding it in half at desired width.. (Mine was 1 inch in width after punching my border to decorate.)

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

9 – Stick your dome cards to the easel top using the hinges you have made.

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

10 – add ribbon to finish so that your dome doors stay closed.  Smiles..

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Voila!  You are finished! :0) And your hidden Easel is complete!

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

Maybe Easel isn’t quite the right name?  It' reminds me of a theatre or box card.. smiles.. but either way I adore it – and these Meadow Cottage Bears!! BIG smiles!! :0)

GE DIGITAL CAMERA

My inspiration for the double dome easel (or box card) came from the very clever DT for Crafter’s Companion.  One of the wonderfully clever girls  made a dome gatefold card which was shown on one of the launch shows I saw on the TV.  As soon as I saw it my brain went into overdrive – and this is what I came up with.. Smiles.

(I’ve just posted on the CC facebook page – if I can find out which DT member it was I’ll link directly to her blog for you all.)

Anyway! I hope you like what I’ve created, and that my mini tutorial is clear enough.. smiles.

I have made this for Rosie to give to her Grandpa on Father’s Day.. I thought these bears were just so perfect.. :0)
